ROHNERT Park, Calif. — On Friday, May 13, authorities reported that a man attempted to rob a Northern California carwash with an alleged handgun and an empty potato chip bag, according to WAOW.
A statement by Rohnert Park’s Department of Public Safety states that the man entered KaCees World of Water, dropped the potato chip bag on the counter and told the carwash’s cashier to fill it up with money, informed the article.
The man also warned the cashier that he had a gun, added the article.
He gestured that the handgun was in the potato chip bag, reported the article, however, the cashier said that it contained only a piece of cardboard and called a co-worker for help.
According to police, noted the article, once the other carwash employee approached the counter, the suspect fled on foot.
