Crew Carwash named 2017 Top Workplace

Jacksons Express to gives out free washes on July 4th

PEORIA, Ariz. — Jacksons Car Wash, a community-minded company of patriotic people, loves our country and enjoys celebrating the Fourth of July in a big way every year, according to a press release.

Due to the sizzling temperatures in metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona, on the Fourth of July, residents tend to watch outdoor fireworks from the comfort of their air-conditioned cars, the release continued.

First eastern Costco carwash planned for Tennessee

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — According to www.springhillhomepage.com, the Brentwood Planning Commission approved plans for the local Costco to build its own carwash.

If Costco goes through with the plans, it would be one of the only locations in the nation and the first one in the eastern U.S. to have its own carwash, the article stated.

The automatic carwash would be a 3,200-square-foot facility located next to the gas pumps, allowing customers who use the gas to easily get their cars washed, the article noted, and will clean and dry the car for $7.99.

“This is the first of its kind in this part of the country,” Chris Ferko, a consultant for Costco and engineer at Barghausen Consulting Engineers, said. “Costco is real excited to be able to bring this service to its members out here. It’s something they have found has been very much appreciated and well-liked by its members that use the carwashes at those other locations.”

When the commission asked how much water the carwash would use, it was explained that the other carwashes use approximately 60 gallons per car, averaging about 30,000 gallons per day; however, Costco carwashes use a water reclamation system that can recycle almost 65 percent of their water, meaning that about 19,000 gallons are discharged into the sewer systems.

Costco currently has 10 carwashes at stores in California, Arizona, Washington and Idaho, the article concluded.
