Mister Car Wash acquires sites in Wisconsin and Illinois

TUSCON, Ariz. — The company now operates 157 carwashes in 18 states.

TUSCON, Ariz. — Mister Car Wash recently finalized the acquisition of five Octopus Car Wash locations in Madison, Wisconsin, and Rockford, Illinois, according to a press release.

The company continues to “accelerate its growth strategy by adding 21 stores to its portfolio since the beginning of the year,” stated the release.

Mister Car Wash now operates 157 carwashes in 18 states, added the release.

“Wisconsin and Illinois are strong and dynamic markets with a long history of washing cars,” said Mister Car Wash President and CEO John Lai in the release. “This bolsters our already strong position in the Midwest, and we can’t wait to begin working alongside a very talented group of team members.”

Mister Car Wash has also been able to expand its brand by focusing on recruiting, training and maintaining talent from top leadership positions to the store level, reported the release.

“Quality carwash owners who are getting ready to exit the business don’t just want to cash out, they want to make sure their business will continue to flourish and that their people will be taken care of,” said Casey Lindsay, director of mergers and acquisitions, in the release. “Our commitment is to retain and continue developing newly acquired teams.”

Reaching new reclaim heights

There is a lot of variety in the carwash industry. Not only are there different types of washes, but the design, equipment, chemistry, staffing and service can greatly vary from one site to the next. However, there’s one non-negotiable constant in every wash: Water.

Since water — and lots of it — is so essential to this industry, it only makes sense to strive for ways to maximize every single drop. That’s where the reclaim process comes in. Collecting, rehabilitating and reusing as much water as possible is essential to protect the environment, the availability of resources and a carwash’s bottom line. That’s why industry leaders are currently driving innovation to find ways to reclaim even more water than ever.
