TUCSON, Ariz. — Mister Car Wash has moved its headquarters to a new location close to the downtown area, according to Inside Tucson Business.
The growing company renovated a neglected building vacant since 2007 to house its 75 employees. Mister Car Wash CEO John Lai said the company wanted to be seen as progressive and inventive, noted the article.
“…We’re always looking for a better way so we need really an environment that was very collaborative, very conducive to idea-sharing,” said Lai.
Renovations allow more natural light into the building, and the employee break room is the highlight of the space with vintage lights, a communal dining table and trendy coffee shop-style counters, said the article.
The building will also include an employee gym, training center and a rainwater-harvesting system, the article explained.
The city will benefit from the tax revenues the company will bring in, expected to be about $2.9 million over eight years, noted the article.
