PELHAM, Ala. — Insane Paint Auto Detailing owner Chase Tubbs left his 15-year-long career and six-figure income to follow his dream of opening a detailing shop 18 months ago, according to the Shelby County Reporter.
Tubbs discovered his love of making a car perfect as a kid when he washed cars with his dad, who was mechanic, said the article. He began detailing cars out of this garage, and now he has partnered with Vince Davis to operate Insane Paint in a shop.
Tubbs explained in the article it takes him and Davis about 12 hours to complete one job.

“What we do is not easy, but most importantly, most people don’t know how to do it to the level that we do,” Tubbs said in the article. “When we get done with a car, it’s so glossy and so perfect, it looks like there’s water sitting on it.”
Tubbs and Davis also want to create the kind of place customers can hang out around cars. They want to build relationships with customers, noted the article.
The business even hosted its first car show on Sept. 27, complete with food, drinks, goodie bags and a DJ, stated the article.
