BELMONT, Mass. — The family-owned Belmont Car Wash & Detailing will be doing major renovations to the interior and exterior this summer, according to the Waltham News Tribune.
General Manager Adam Tocci wants to provide a great wash experience for the community. “We want to make sure we’re doing our part to make Belmont beautiful … I think anyone driving past the Belmont Car Wash will know our town is the place to be,” he said

The wash is a part of the town’s history, and is known for its friendly greetings, and the little personal touches it puts on, like hand-towel drying all vehicles.
Belmont has traditionally offered free popcorn and Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, and now will offer free soda and water as well. There is also a special interactive component to the new wash for children, who can spray a squirt gun filled with soap and water at the cars as they pass by the tunnel.
It’s not just on the fun side of things that innovations are being done. There are also improvements being made to maximize water efficiency.

The makeover will include a new customer area, free Wi-Fi, a 60-inch TV and a children’s area. “We wanted to have lots of options for people while they’re waiting — watch the game on TV, do some work on their laptops, or make a day of it with the kids. It’s a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere,” Tocci said.
The renovations are scheduled to be completed for the anniversary in June. “I’m proud that we’ve been a part of Belmont for so long,” said Tocci. “These renovations are as much about improving Belmont as anything.”
