GERMANY— SolWash, a new carwash powered by solar heat, was recently introduced to the market by Sonnenkraft Deutschland GmbH, according to Sun & Wind Energy.
Cars are typically washed more in the summer, so heat surpluses during the summer months are not likely to be a problem, noted the article. When business is slower, SolWash will store heat to be used later when more cars are washed.

Extreme winter temperatures can affect business, but SolWash can also heat the floor so carwashes can operate safely when temperatures are below four degrees Celsius, according to the article.
SolWash come in three sizes, for two to eight washing stations. The company calculates the needs of the carwash before installing the system, and a remote system is used to monitor and control SolWash, noted the article.
