D Marsh introduces portable nitrogen inflation unit
Thursday, October 19, 2006
MARNE, MI — D Marsh Co., is introducing the NIflate 99, a portable nitrogen inflation machine designed around the needs of quick lube shops and carwashes, according to a company news release.

Some studies have shown there are benefits to replacing air in a vehicle's tires with nitrogen and many shops are now selling the replacement service to their customers.

Many systems use a nitrogen generation system which relies on a compressor and air dryer, as well as storage tanks, the company said. The NIflate 99 system is portable and uses pre-bottled nitrogen so there is no compressor.

The news release claims the system can exchange the air in a tire with nitrogen is 7-12 minutes while an attendant provides other services.

Further information about NIflate 99 is available here.
