MIAMI, FL —Days after Tim Hardaway declared, "I hate gay people" on a radio program here, his name is off his carwash, the Miami Herald reported.
According to the Feb. 18 report, Hardaway apologized, but the backlash has cost him a national endorsement deal and an appearance at the NBA's All-Star Game weekend activities.
A local gay-rights group then called for a boycott of Hardaway's US 1 Car Wash, the report said.
The report said the carwash has been renamed to Grand Luxe Auto Bathe.
