MIRFIELD, England — The owner of Elite Hand Car Wash was fined for operating outside of council-approved hours, according to the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

Owner Ahzi Lazin Sheko was fined £250 and ordered to pay £500 costs, plus a £25 victim surcharge.

Residents have complained of constantly running hoses and vacuums.

The business is approved to run from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sundays and bank holidays. However, some residents claim the carwash is sometimes open from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sundays, said the article.

Elite Hand Car Wash is situated close to homes, and many neighbors say they can’t enjoy being outside.
