SHAWNEE, OK — Two thieves stole hundreds of dollars from the Shawnee Suds Carwash and owner Jay Scott Brown posted surveillance footage on the wash's Facebook page to try and catch the thieves, KFOR TV reported.
The March 21 story said the thieves tied a truck to a pay station and drove off. The incident was caught on camera.
“We felt like since we had some good visual information about who these people might be that we were going to get right on it,” Brown said in the story.
Allen Green, caretaker of the carwash, added, “Plus everybody else is posting it on their Facebook pages so that’s helping us a lot right there."
Brown said as a business owner who strives to serve the community, it's nice to see the community is reaching out to help him. “This time they’re able to help me and I appreciate it greatly,” he said in the story.

A $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and Brown wants the public to know that everyone's credit card information wasn't compromised by the theft.
