GREENFIELD, CA — Two men approached the city council here about re-opening an abandoned carwash, Greenfield News reported.
The Nov. 1 story stated that Carmen and Manuel Barron pleaded with the council to allow them to use business for its intended purpose. But there was a problem with updated zoning.
Property owner fights for parking variance
In 2007, the zoning for the property was changed and now the area can no longer be used for automotive businesses. The zoning code was written in response to the city’s general plan in 2005 when the economy looked better.
