DE PERE, Wis. — PDQ Manufacturing and the Dover Foundation donated $5,000 each to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin as part of its ongoing campaign to support the work of charitable organizations that serve local residents, according to a press release.
The Dover Foundation matched the PDQ donation through a grant-matching initiative created by the Dover Foundation, bringing the total donation to $10,000, stated the release.
The Dover Foundation was created in 2011 as the philanthropic arm of PDQ’s parent company.
This marks the third year PDQ and the Dover Foundation have made a donation to Make-A-Wish of Wisconsin, which grants the wishes of children who have been diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions.
Because of the donation, Alyssa, a teenager diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, will travel to Italy with her family. Steven, a three-year-old diagnosed with left heart syndrome, a congenital heart defect, went to Walt Disney World with his family, said the release.
Andrea Brazeau, HR generalist for PDQ Manufacturing, said PDQ and the Dover Corporation consider it an honor to partner with organizations like Make-A-Wish.
“The opportunity and ability to give back to the local communities in which we operate is very important to PDQ,” she said.
