CHESTER, Va. — Customers can now clean their cars and pets at the Flagstop Car Wash, according to Hopewell News.
Located in an air-conditioned space previously used as a waiting area, the pet-washing station has steps to help with larger dogs, a water hose and a separate drying hose.
Buttons on the machine select different options for the hose, including two kinds of shampoo, conditioner, flea and tick treatment and a deodorizer, said the article.
The carwash charges $10 for the first 10 minutes, and $1 for each extra minute.
In the article, Vice President Jamie Nester said their dogs usually take about 12 minutes. He also noted that the wash is less expensive than the larger chain pet stores’ washes.
Owner Bob Schrum said it’s logical to combine the two washes in one business.
“I could see us having one at every car wash. It kind of makes sense to have the two together. The equipment is the same. The process is the same,” said Schrum in the article.
