QuickChek to open new c-stores in New Jersey

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. — In addition to creating 85 new jobs, the new locations will each generate approximately $1 million in tax revenue.

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. — QuickChek Corp. announced the opening of three new convenience stores and the creation of 85 new jobs throughout New Jersey, according to CSPnet.com.

The business recently opened a c-store in Fairfield on Oct. 13, stated the article, and new locations are scheduled to open in Morganville, a section of Marlboro Township, on Oct. 27 and in Lakewood on Nov. 16.

“We strive to be the neighborhood shopping destination close to where our customers live and work,” said Dean Durling, CEO of QuickChek, in the article. “These new stores allow us to better serve these markets and provide our customers with more food and fueling options. We’re proud to continue to move ahead, opening new locations and creating new local jobs to serve our local communities.”

In addition to the creation of new jobs, reported the article, the new stores will each generate approximately $1 million in tax revenue.

With the launch of the three c-stores, QuickChek will have opened 32 new locations and hired around 1,200 additional workers in the past eight years, continued the article.

“Our plan has been to maintain good, steady growth over time,” stated Durling in the article. “Being privately held allows us to succeed at our pace.”

The new Fairfield store brings the company’s total number of c-stores to 141, informed the article, which serve New Jersey, New York’s Hudson Valley and Long Island.

Of these locations, 11 include pharmacies and 50 offer fuel, added the article.

The new c-stores will be open 24 hours a day and feature QuickChek’s fresh food and beverage program, noted the article, which offers customers the ability to create “custom-made oven-toasted subs, sandwiches, wraps and salads.”
