ALBANY, N.Y. — According to www.news10.com, Curtis Williams, 54, plead guilty to robbing Hoffman Car Wash last year and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Williams was accused of stealing $4,000 in cash from the carwash on Jan. 9, 2016 while displaying what appeared to be a loaded gun, the article noted.
Williams was also involved in a second violent incident on April 20, 2016, when he was accused of striking a woman in the face with an object, the article noted; his guilty plea in regards to the robbery also satisfied this incident.
After being notified that he was in the area, the article continued, police responded, but when they tried to question him, Williams fled and tossed the gun into the woods.
That handgun, once recovered, was determined to be the same used at the carwash robbery, the article noted.
The assault victim was brought to a local hospital and treated for her injuries, the article concluded.
