MANDEVILLE, La. — The town’s zoning commission approved plans for a self-serve carwash adjacent to a residential neighborhood, according to the Times-Picayune.
Included in the plans are a 50-foot buffer between the facility and residences, as well as a 10-foot fence bordering the back of the carwash property to block any noise from reaching residents, said the article.
The carwash will operate mostly during the day, and an attendant will be on duty during operating hours, noted the article.
Residents had some initial concerns about the plans, but the developer was able to satisfy them, stated the article.
“I really feel like this is a good use for the property,” said City Councilman David Ellis.
