TAMARAC, Fla. — South Florida newspaper The Sun Sentinel has named SONNY’S The CarWash Factory a Top Workplace of 2016, according to a press release.
The award, which is administered by Workplace Dynamics LLC, is presented to employers in the area “based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey,” stated the release.
“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Workplace Dynamics, in the release. “Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together … Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn’t have a shot at being named a Top Workplace.”
This is the second year in a row SONNY’S has received the Top Workplace award, reported the release, which Caffey explains also requires companies meet strict standards of organizational health.
“Being a family-owned company, I have always hoped that we were building something beyond just a place to come to work. For me personally, this [award] was verification that the people I work with everyday feel as connected and passionate about what we are doing together as I do,” shared Paul Fazio, CEO of SONNY’S The CarWash Factory, in the release.
