BOWIE, MD — Plans for a state-of-the-art flex-serve carwash, featuring a tunnel, vacuums and other services, have been approved by city council members, a BowiePatch.com story said.
The Dec. 4 story quoted Councilman Henri Gardiner who stated, "I'm happy to see a carwash coming to Bowie." Gardiner is, however, concerned about the environmental impact of the carwash.
According to Brett Schecter, one of the carwash's developers, the wash will recycle its own water and will only use eco-friendly cleaning products.
The city will now notify the Prince George's County Planning Board of its approval. The County Planning Board will next have to approve the plans.
