BASTROP, La. — Bubble and Suds Car Wash and Detail received a thumbs-up award from Keep Morehouse Beautiful for its clean parking lot and for following the Clean Water Act, according to the Bastrop Daily Enterprise.
Keep Morehouse Beautiful gives out the awards to people who do things in the interest of the environment and economic development, said the article.
The carwash uses a filtration system that separates sand and oil, then runs the water back into the drains. The system cost the business about $7,000, and it helps the carwash follow the Clean Water Act, stated the article.

Owner Bobby Jennings Jr. said the employees also play a large role in keeping the parking lot free of litter, noted the article.
Jennings said in the article that his managers of 10 years take pride in what they do.
“We are honored to get this award and we invite everyone, if they need a good car wash, to come by," said Jennings in the article.
