LAWRENCEBURG, TN — There are seven necessary steps to preparing a car for winter, according to the Lawrence County Advocate.
The Jan. 14 article stated that a wash and wax at a professional car care business is important. Thorough winter washes will remove harmful compounds that can damage a finish when mixed with sand and road salt.
Warmer temperatures bring carwash lines
Experts with the International Carwash Association also recommended a coat of wax for extra protection from the elements.
Other tips included checking fluids, tires and windshield wipers. The battery should be tested and brakes inspected as well. Finally, a winter kit should be prepared.
