As much as I’ve carelessly used the “time flies” adiom in the past, this time I truly mean it when now referring to the 2014 Car Wash Show™. It’s that time of the year already? Seems as if just the other day I was writing about the 2013 Show and Magic Johnson, etc. Well, in all fairness, this year’s is a month earlier, but still, where did the time go? The 2014 Show is just eight weeks away, and is being held March 31 at Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center. Will you be attending? Feedback seems to be mixed in terms of it being held in Chicago. Some are worried about the costs, what to do during the downtime, the weather, the O’Hare airport, etc. And, some others are happy to be leaving Las Vegas behind. Having never been to Chicago, I cannot offer any keen insight on what it has to offer, but early weather predictions claim temperatures will in the low 50s. As for what to do during your downtime, it looks like choosechicago.com is a good resource.
If you’re attending, I suggest you look over the schedule of events at carwash.org to plan out your schedule. Also, make a list of which exhibitors you want to visit, find them on the showroom floor map and plan accordingly. Look over the educational sessions offered, too. The keynote speakers, Daymond John and Robert Herjavec of the hit ABC show Shark Tank, should give a good address, but make sure you have an all access pass or you won’t be allowed in. We will also be sending you an Exhibit Product Guide which will include inside tips, a showroom floor map, a schedule and list of exhibitors. Expect it the second-to-last week in March.
For those of you who won’t be attending, please don’t feel left out as we here at Professional Carwashing & Detailing will provide you with all of the information, highlights from the keynote address and educational sessions, and any other information we deem important. Check out carwash.com the week of the show and in the following issue of the magazine. Also, we will be live Tweeting from the Show, so follow us on Twitter.com/carwashmagazine.
Until next time,
