WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Business at carwashes in the area has been slow over the last couple of weeks, in large part due to cold weather that has created concerns that cars would freeze after getting out of a wash, according to station WNEP.
Jerry Orloski, owner of Orloski’s Carwash, agreed with the concerns of cars freezing. “We definitely slow down when it gets very cold. When the temperature get up closer to 30 [degrees] we’ll see business pick up.”
Orloski said, no matter the temperature, his wash is able to get the salt off of cars.
There are ways to help prevent cars from freezing after a wash. He uses heated air to dry them during this extremely cold point in the year.
