LAURELVILLE, Ohio — Police officer Mitchell Wille, noticed a suspicious vehicle parked near a carwash while doing patrols on Jan. 25, according to the Circleville Herald.
“It just wasn’t a vehicle I recognized,” said Wille. “And it was about 5 a.m. in the middle of a blizzard, so that made it even more suspicious.”
He followed the car, and ran the plate number, but had no cause to pull it over. He went back to where he’d originally spotted the car, and found footprints leading to a sack that was hidden in the bushes, with more than $100 in quarters.
The pair of criminals were arrested later in the night, with around $800 dollars of cash they had stolen in their car. They also did nearly $1,500 in damage to the carwash.
