DALLAS — Freddy and Dale Davenport, a father and son team who own a carwash here, are claiming they received a letter from the city, claiming their carwash is in the way of a city project, the Dallas Observer reported.
The Dec. 5 story said it was an "eminent domain" letter, and the duo would be forced to sell the wash.
However, no officials from city hall are taking responsibility for the letter.
Dale Davenport has presented the letter as proof and it appears it was signed by Lou Jones, a city real estate manager.
According to the story, Jones stated that the letter she sent to the Davenports was merely, "a statement of initial intent in a long legal process."
