BOISE, ID — An entire ATM machine was stolen from the Like-Nu Carwash here and the carwash was able to provide police with an image of the thief, KBOI 2 reported.
The Nov. 22 story said two photos of the thief have been released to the public.
The story also reported that the stolen ATM contained a total of $30. And, according to an ATM expert, it's almost impossible to remove the money as it involves a cutting torch which can end up burning the money.
As reported by PC&D earlier this week, the theft took place at 2:42 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
A man who lives behind the carwash said in the story, "I heard what I thought was a car alarm, and it was really loud. I threw my pants and jacket on and started over to the carwash to see what was going on … That's when I saw a vehicle leaving in a big hurry."
Police are still investigating and no other details were given.
