LOCKPORT, NY — The owner of Laser Car Wash here received an email one morning alerting him to a problem with a control panel, The Buffalo News reported.
The Dec. 11 story stated that when the owner arrived on-site, he saw a man with a crowbar and a hammer in his hands. The owner confronted the man from his car and grabbed the hammer before the man fled.
Carwash improving site security after vandalism
The suspect had tried to access the control panel at the wash and ended up causing $4,000 in damage, according to sheriff’s deputies.
Security video from the carwash and a nearby drug store has been provided to the deputies, and the investigation continues.
