BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Winter has officially passed, and as the cold gives way to warm temperatures heating up the Earth, spring flowers are blooming.
The emergence of vibrant flowers and foliage may be a welcomed sight for many, however, this season also brings lots of pollen.
Here in Birmingham, the evidence of spring is quite obvious, with many cars currently tinged in a bright yellow dusting.
This week’s video, featured on WRBL News 3’s website, www.wrbl.com, takes place at Goo-Goo Express Wash in Columbus, Georgia, which recently experienced an influx in car counts due to pollen.
According to the video, the carwash has been averaging 200 more customers a day. Thanks to the pollen, noted the video, the carwash recently had 527 customers last Monday and 509 customers last Tuesday, “which is a couple hundred more than they normally average.”
“This carwash sees a lot more customers coming in because of pollen, starting in March to about mid-April,” explained reporter Brennan Reh in the video.
