Video of the week: Car crashes into carwash vacuum

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Surveillance footage shows the wreck and the person who escapes from it.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Unfortunately, car crashes occur daily in a wide variety of forms.

Carwashes are especially prone to such accidents, as the basis for their businesses relies on cars.

But sometimes, carwashes are the victim of outside automobile accidents just as an ordinary business is.

According to www.ksnt.com, in Topeka, Kansas, a car rammed into a vacuum at the Laser Car Wash at 2:00 a.m.

According to the police, when the car hit the vacuum, the driver was thrown into the windshield, the article stated.

The driver was brought to a hospital and is expected to recover, the article noted.

However, if you watch the video closely, you can see that someone escapes the car through the passenger side window and runs away.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, the article added.

Reaching new reclaim heights

There is a lot of variety in the carwash industry. Not only are there different types of washes, but the design, equipment, chemistry, staffing and service can greatly vary from one site to the next. However, there’s one non-negotiable constant in every wash: Water.

Since water — and lots of it — is so essential to this industry, it only makes sense to strive for ways to maximize every single drop. That’s where the reclaim process comes in. Collecting, rehabilitating and reusing as much water as possible is essential to protect the environment, the availability of resources and a carwash’s bottom line. That’s why industry leaders are currently driving innovation to find ways to reclaim even more water than ever.
