Wash employee charges $78,000 to stolen gas card

HOUSTON — County sheriffs are on the hunt for Terence Leandrae Cadoree.

HOUSTON — County sheriffs here are on the hunt for a carwash employee that allegedly charged up more than $78,000 on a stolen corporate gas credit card, chron.com reported.

The July 11 story stated that Terence Leandrae Cadoree, 37, faces a felony charge of credit/debit card abuse. Deputies say the card was stolen from the owner of a Houston petroleum distribution company when he visited Mister Car Wash.

The day of the carwash visit was the same day that someone made the first unauthorized charge on the card about two blocks from the wash. Only three employees had unsupervised access to the victim's car, and Cadoree was the one of the employees off work when the first charge was made.

Over the next three weeks, the corporate gas credit card was used to run up $78,912 in fraudulent charges. The victim said he seldom used the card so he did not immediately notice it was missing.

Cadoree has a criminal record dating back to 1992, and it includes convictions for unauthorized use of a vehicle, misdemeanor deadly conduct, evading arrest, arson and displaying a ficititious license plate. The suspect's bail as been set at $15,000, and he remains at large.
