Zips Car Wash continues its growth strategy

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Zips gains a total of four new locations in Texas and Tennessee.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Dec. 15, 2017, Zips Car Wash acquired Señor Sudz Express Car Wash, gaining two locations on the northwest side of San Antonio, Texas, according to a company press release.

One store is located at 3114 Fredericksburg Rd. and the other is at 1431 Culebra Rd., added the release.

With these acquisitions, continued the release, Zips is now able to serve customers at 11 locations in Texas, nine of which are in the San Antonio area.

“We love San Antonio and love working with the customers in this area,” said Brett Overman, founder and chairman of Zips Car Wash. “We’re excited to expand our footprint to nine stores in the San Antonio area and look forward to getting even more involved with the community as a result of this acquisition,” he added.

Community involvement for the company has recently developed into two unique programs that assist local organizations, local businesses and individuals, according to the press release.

ZipsCares is the company’s fundraising program for local schools and other charitable organizations; ZipsPerks is a business program that allows larger companies to get a leg up on their competitors and offer the perk of a discounted Unlimited Zips Membership to its employees, explained the release.

Zips Car Wash will begin rebranding the two new stores in the coming months but will not close the carwashes for an extended period of time for updates, noted the release; both locations will now be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and Unlimited Wash Clubs will soon be available.

According to a later company press release, Zips Car Wash also announced the acquisition of Clean Car Auto Care, adding two new stores.

Zips Car Wash now has 23 locations in Tennessee — from Memphis to Sevierville — more than in any other state, the release stated.

The two new locations are: 420 Neal St., Cookeville, TN 38501 and 693 Willow Ave., Cookeville, TN 38501; the stores’ hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.

“We are excited to expand our presence to Cookeville and complement our rapidly growing East Tennessee market,” said Overman. “We’re getting two good carwashes from this acquisition as well as expanding our presence for our Unlimited Wash Club members,” he added.
