ARLINGTON, Texas — For this year’s show, Southwest Car Wash Association celebrated the best ever preregistration for the SCWA Convention & Car Wash EXPO, according to a recent press release.
This year’s event is scheduled to take place this Sunday, Feb. 28, to March 1 at the Arlington Convention Center in Arlington.
The 2016 SCWA Convention & Car Wash EXPO will include educational seminars and sessions, an exhibit hall displaying the latest carwash innovations, opportunities to network with peers and establish new business relationships, and prize drawings.
Before heading to the show, be sure to check out SCWA’s event page on its website, www.swcarwash.org, for its 2016 Expo Guide, which features a closer look at this year’s event program, educational opportunities, schedule of events, sponsors and more.
This year’s keynote speaker is Captain Richard Phillips, who will share his chilling story of survival and lessons he learned about establishing life and business priorities.
For five days in April 2009, Phillips was captured by Somali pirates who hijacked his ship — the first hijacking of a U.S. ship in more than 200 years. He offered himself as a hostage to protect his crew during the standoff. His grueling capture was retold in the movie, “Captain Phillips,” starring Tom Hanks.
