ELLESMERE PORT, ENGLAND — An applicant here approached planning officers and the Chester Council hoping to get retrospective approval for a carwash and valeting business, the Ellesmere Port Pioneer reported.
The Sept. 12 story stated that the businesses would use side access, and the wash would operate in the bays at the rear of the building. The businesses would be open seven days a week, and the tentative hours were submitted for approval.
No objections to the business were raised by the highway authority, and the environmental protection officers had no comments when the application was advertised. Also, planners believe the business would have no detrimental effect on nearby properties.
After the business’s hours were found to be acceptable, the application was recommended for approval and the borough council agreed that retrospective permission could be granted.
