Atlanta detailing company receives nomination for IDA award

BUCKHEAD, Ga. — Onsite Shine was nominated by the International Detailing Association Nominating Committee for the Mobile Detailer of the Year Award.

BUCKHEAD, Ga. — Jim Thomas, founder of Onsite Shine, automotive and marine detailing shops and mobile detailing services in Atlanta, has been nominated for the International Detailing Association’s (IDA) Mobile Detailer of the Year Award, according to a press release.

The detailing company was selected by the IDA Nominating Committee, stated the release, and the three finalists will be voted on by members of the association.

The Mobile Detailer of the Year Award is presented to an outstanding mobile detailing professional for his or her commitment to quality detailing work and who lives up to the IDA Code of Ethics, reported the release.

The winner of the award will be announced on Friday, Jan. 29, at the IDA Annual Business Meeting, continued the release, which will take place at the 15th Annual Mobile Tech Auto Recon Expo (MTE) & Detailer’s Forum in Orlando, Florida.

“Our goal is to promote consistency in the detailing industry and that in turn ensures the detailer’s customers are receiving the highest quality work available when using an IDA-certified detailer,” said Rob Schruefer, president of IDA, in the release. “Just being nominated for mobile detailing company of the year means you are one of the best in the business.”

The nomination comes on top of a very busy year for Thomas, added the release.

Onsite Shine expanded its third location next door to Ferrari Maserati of Atlanta on Alpharetta Highway in Roswell last spring, informed the release, and the company opened a new location in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina this past fall.

Moreover, stated the release, Onsite Shine recently broke ground on a new 4,500-square-foot facility at the intersection of West Paces Ferry Road and Northside Parkway in Buckhead, which will open later this year.

“The new Buckhead location is a $1 million buildout unlike anything anyone has ever seen in the detailing industry with full-service hand carwashes and all types of exclusive detailing services,” stated Thomas in the release.

Thomas also has two detailing shops located inside Cartunes of Atlanta on Roswell Road, a marine detailing location at Holiday Marina on Lake Lanier in Buford and four mobile detailing units servicing all of metro Atlanta, noted the release.
