KEENE, N.H. — Mint Premium Car Wash is scheduled to open later this summer on Winchester Street in Keene, according to SentinelSource.com.
The new carwash will be located at the site of the former Benny’s Auto Body, stated the article, just a few hundred yards from Clarke Distributors where Jay Clarke, owner of the wash, works as a senior executive.
The Clarke family purchased the lot four years ago, reported the article, which also included a small discount store adjacent to the property, but the carwash is the venture of just Jay Clarke.
Clarke first set out to transform the auto body shop to a truck-wash facility, added the article.
“There wasn’t, at first, huge interest in the idea, but there was huge cost,” said Clarke in the article. “I said maybe it doesn’t make sense right now. But the more I looked at it, the more it became something I wanted to pursue.”
Although simple in its concept, informed the article, the carwash will feature state-of-the-art equipment, offering two automatic, conveyorless bays.
“We’ll have one [bay] with brushes and one without, for oversized shop trucks and large vehicles,” stated Clarke in the article.
Clarke explained that he has around three years of planning and work invested in the carwash plans, noted the article, and that the properly will undergo a “complete transformation” by July.
“The materials we will use are incredible,” asserted Clarke in the article. “People invest a lot of money in their vehicles, and the bad weather we can get around here … to get the longevity in that vehicle that you want means you need to take care of it.”
He continued in the article, “I wanted to do something completely different. I wanted to create something where the customer service is [so great] that you feel good about [what you spent].”
