COPPERAS COVE, Texas — Local car care businesses donated parts and services to rebuild the car of a cancer survivor, according to KDHnews.com.
Sinjin Andrukates was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma in 2012 when he was 21, noted the article. He went through extensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments as well as a bone marrow transplant.
Andrukates was given a five percent chance at life, reported the article. The Make-A-Wish Foundation soon approached him to grant a wish of his choice, which turned out to be having his car rebuilt.

The 2001 Chevrolet Le Mans was rebuilt with donations by Mid-Tex Paint and Body, Discount Tire of Copperas Cove, Cove Window Tine, Zuto Zone, RDG Professional Detailing and Auto Truck Clinic, stated the article.
Andrukates’ doctors say he is walking miracle for having survived the illness, shared the article.
“When it happens, you just have to know there’s always hope, no matter what the doctors say,” said Andrukates in the article. “I had a less than five percent chance of living and I’m still here. Percents are just a number. What matters is the strength of your heart.”
