HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Japanese-based Omron Automation and Safety has opened its new American headquarters, according to a press release.
The facility features a state-of-the-art automation center to give customers access to engineering and technical resources in one location just outside of Chicago, said the release.
The center also serves as a university-style laboratory where customers can collaborate, text and explore solutions, noted the release. The center has multiple working platforms including robotics, electro-mechanic motion control, advanced sensing and safety.
The center is the company’s first to be built in the U.S., and other locations are open in Europe and Asia, stated the release.
Omron Director of Marketing Matthew Trowbridge said in the release that visitors to the center will have access to engineers and technicians as they test solutions using real-world simulations.
Omron offers regular tours of the facility. Interest persons should call 800-556-6766 to schedule visits, explained the release.
