HUDDERSFIELD, ENGLAND — A carwash worker here was the victim of a vicious axe attack in broad daylight, The Huddersfield Daily Examiner reported.
The May 23 story stated that a vehicle cut through the carwash while the victim was working. Then, the 27-year-old worker was outnumbered by multiple attackers and ended up suffering serious head injuries.
Police think the employee was targeted due to a dispute that took place two hours before the attack. Detective Sergeant Neil King, of Huddersfield CID, said in the story, “This was a brutal and sustained attack on a man who was outnumbered. I would ask any witnesses to contact Huddersfield CID on 101.”
The worker is in serious condition at the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, and his condition was described as “stable and improving.”
