ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — APR Car Wash has been granted the ability to sell up to seven used cars at its location by Buffalo Grove trustees, according to the Daily Herald.
The body repair shop and carwash asked Buffalo Grove for an “amendment to the B2 business zoning district, which does not list used car sales as a permitted or special use,” stated the article.
The text amendment passed by the village board, along with the ordinance that approved the special use, would only permit the site as “an ancillary use for existing auto repair facilities in the B2 District,” the article reported.
APR Car Wash is the only auto repair facility in the B2 zoning district, the article added.
The business is located on Dundee Road, continued the article, and Jeffrey Braiman, the attorney for the petitioner and the former village president, said in the article that none of the seven vehicles up for sale will be stored or parked on the road.
Seven vehicles will be stored on the site, noted Braiman in the article, however, once a car is sold, APR Car Wash has the right to replace it with another one.
