LODI, Calif. — The “Fed Up at the Pump” campaign is designed to “educate and inform California motorists about a state agency-mandated gasoline and diesel price increase,” according to CSPnet.com.
The raise in gas price, which the group notes in the article will have a negative impact on the economy, will begin on Jan. 1 2015. The 15 cent increase per gallon was the result of a “hidden tax,” notes the release, that was created by the administration of Governor Jerry Brown without input from consumers or the legislature.

The gas price increase is a way to address global warming, notes Ron Van De Pol, president of Van De Pol Enterprise Inc., but it does so by hurting those who “are already struggling to get by," he said.
The goal of the Fed Up at the Pump campaign, states the article, is to stop “this hidden regressive gasoline fee created by the California Air Resources Board.”
