SEATTLE — The Puget Sound Car Wash Association (PSCWA) is raising money to protect the environment during May, also known as Car Wash Awareness Month, according to a press release.
PSCWA offers charities $2 carwash fundraiser tickets to promote the initiative, noted the release. Organizations can garner donations and protect the Puget Sound at the same time.

The association hopes the month-long event will educate the public about how professional carwashes are more environmentally friendly than driveway washing. It encourages washes to share the following message with followers: "Take your car to a professional carwash. If your car’s dirty, it’s not just dirt — its grime that contains heavy metals, oil and toxins."
Nonprofits interested in participating can order discounted tickets at www.Charitycarwash.org, reported the release.
