AMSTERDAM — The first European event to focus exclusively on the professional carwash industry, Car Wash Show Europe™ took place Oct. 5-7 in Amsterdam, according to a press release provided by the International Carwash Association® (ICA).
Organized by ICA, the event featured product displays, receptions, carwash tours and seminars, stated the release.
A total of 2,100 participants attended the event, continued the release, which is more than twice the expected result.
“What we have been hearing from European carwash owners and suppliers — that there would be great interest in an event catered to their specific needs — was certainly confirmed this week,” said Eric Wulf, ICA CEO, in the release.
More than 70 nationalities were represented at the event, reported the release, with about 80 percent of attendees from Europe, 15 percent from North America and five percent from other markets around the world.
Furthermore, added the release, the nearly “90 exhibiting companies represented twice the number of carwash companies ever assembled in Europe.”
“We are thankful for the exceptionally positive feedback from our participants, but we are truly most enthusiastic about the platform for industry growth that has been created,” stated Wulf in the release. “Car Wash Show Europe is a venue for ideas to be created, shared and accelerated. This happened throughout the trade fair, seminars and receptions as well as on tour buses and at restaurant tables — and will be continuing in the conversations and meetings that happen well after the event concludes. We are excited about the potential for growing Car Wash Show Europe, but more so [about] what this event — the carwash industry’s new home — will do for carwash businesses.”
The dates for the next Car Wash Show Europe, which is scheduled to take place in the fall 2017, will be announced soon, noted the release.
