TORONTO — Jiffy Lube and Suds Car Wash have an annual tradition of teaming up to raise funds from the Canadian Cancer Society Wheels of Hope Transportation Service, according to a press release.
The Drive Hope program, notes the release, provides transportation for cancer patients. The goal for this year is to top the $123,800 raised for the organization the previous year.

"Cancer doesn't discriminate. Every three minutes, another Canadian will hear the words, 'you have cancer.' It is the leading cause of death in this country,” said the CEO of the Canadian Cancer Society, Martin Kabat. "Participating in the Drive Hope program literally drives hope to those affected by this disease and helps them get to and from their treatments, one of the most difficult tasks they may face during their fight."

Last year, 13,000 patients in Ontario relied on the service, stated the release. "Jiffy Lube, Suds Car Wash and our amazing customers will continue to drive hope for our local cancer patients through every kilometre of their fight," noted Rick Morton, the director of marketing, JL Management Group.
