TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Two recent snow storms in the area, has led to big business for carwashes, according to station WBRC.
“Right after the snow storm, we got real busy just because everybody’s cars got dirty,” said Daniel McCullum, owner of Spiffy Car Wash.
The mixture of salt and sand that was put down to help cars stay safe on the roads, can be detrimental to the car’s exterior.
McCullum said, “The salt can start corroding up underneath your car.”
His recommendation is to wash your car after a storm, especially the underneath part, to prevent rust.
