Carwash industry remembers Darryl Dobie

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Professional Carwashing & Detailing team would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Dobie family.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Darryl Dean Dobie passed away on Feb. 19 in Lafayette, Colorado, at the age of 71, according to an obituary in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.

Dobie, named after the professional baseball player Jay Hanna “Dizzy” Dean, was a lifelong sport fan who especially enjoyed the Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos, stated the article.

Early on in his career, continued the article, Dobie worked in the oil industry, during which he held many different positions including district manager for the former Dowell-Schlumberger in Kansas, Montana, North Dakota, Texas and Wyoming.

In 1984, Dobie married Cheryl, reported the article, and the pair owned and operated carwashes as well as manufacturing companies related to the industry.

As the owners of Aerodry Systems LLC, Darryl and Cheryl Dobie extensively traveled across the globe for projects and leisure, informed the article, and Darryl Dobie was able to take trips throughout five continents.

Services are pending at the Rundus Funeral Home located in Broomfield, Colorado, noted the article.
