REVERE, Mass. — Barn Car Wash has proposed an expansion plan for the former Plaza Garibaldi in Revere that includes a two-bay carwash, retail and a coffee shop, according to reverejournal.com
Jon Coppola, owner of the wash, has filed for special permits with the city of Revere, the article reported, and a hearing with the city council regarding the expansion plan will take place June 22.
The proposed coffee shop development will contain a drive-thru, stated the article, and Coppola has spoken with Honey Dew, Dunkin’ Donuts and Kane’s Donuts.
Coppola continued in the article that the front retail portion of the plan could be a dental clinic, convenience store, an urgent care facility or another similar retail space.
The two-bay carwash will be under the Barn Car Wash name, noted the article.
“If you look at the plans, one will notice that there are no vacuum cleaners, no vending machines, no trash cans and no islands — nor will there be,” said Coppola in the article. “I want it to be a convenience where people would buy a coffee, wash their car and be on their way. It’s not going to be a hang out where people would pull up and blast their radios.”
