HILLIARD, Ohio — Managers at Moo Moo Car Wash reported two scam cases on customers, which have been caught on camera, according to WTTE FOX28.
The con artists try to scam the carwash’s customers by offering repair services on-site, stated the article.
“They will look to see if you have any damage on your car, like a dent or a scratch or anything, and they will come up to you and be like, ‘Hey I can fix that way better than any body shop can,” said Cameron Morris, a manager at Moo Moo Car Wash, in the article.
Morris stated that two guys will tell a customer that they work for a car dealer and can offer body work on the lot for a few hundred dollars compared to a dealer that might charge three times the amount, reported the article.
“He puts on like duct tape, black or silver duct tape, depending on the color of the car, and then he puts like this green, yucky putty stuff and calls it his magic stuff,” explained Morris in the article.
The “magic goo” disappears when it’s washed without repairing the damaged vehicle, continued the article.
Moo Moo Car Wash has filed a report with the Columbus Police, noted the article.
