LOS ANGELES — Carwash employees are now provided health care by a clinic here, according to The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO.
The June 21 story stated that St. John’s Clinic teamed up with the CLEAN Carwash Campaign and the United Steelworkers 675 to offer the health care access.
“Now, thank God my life has changed. If I get sick and feel bad, I have a clinic to go to. This is all because of the campaign,” Oscar Sanchez, a carwashero in the story, said.
A new video produced by the national AFL-CIO features Sanchez and provides background and information on the health-care program.
