BOSTON — The weather in New England was particularly brutal this year, but as it clears up, sales at carwashes have been greatly improving, according to The Boston Globe.
“We had our busiest ever day last Saturday, because it was so warm out,” said Zach Gordon, the owner of Bubbles Car Wash. “We cleaned 821 cars, and about eight or nine cars a minute.”

The manager of Bubbles, Roselle Anderson, said that business has more than double on the recent warm days versus a regular day, where they might see around 300 cars.
The winter weather can be very profitable for carwashes, but many are ready for it to just finally be over. “Everyone is frustrated to still be having snow this late into March,” said Anderson. “It’s great for business, but I think we’ve all had enough.”
