BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Hoover Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously voted to approve a conditional use request for a new carwash in Hoover along John Hawkins Parkway, according to the Hoover Sun.
Kevin Pence of Commercial Construction & Maintenance Inc. (CC&M) represented MaxxClean Car Wash during the meeting, stated the article.
Construction, reported Pence in the article, is projected to begin in November, and the 3,500-square-foot wash is forecast to open in 2016 during the late spring or early summer.
The carwash will feature a dual pay point, 18 vacuum stations under a canopy and prep stations, the article continued.
“We chose this location due to a number of factors,” said Pence in the article. “The primary factor being that we feel that the Wal-Mart and [Academy Sports + Outdoors] shopping center area of Highway 150 is under-served from a carwash perspective. We feel that the traffic count and the demographics of the area are favorable for a carwash.”
